The intention of the French curriculum at Honeywell Junior School is to lay the foundations for future language learning, sparking an interest and curiosity in languages. We strive to embed a familiarity of and exposure to languages as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural differences. Through our planning, we wish children to develop their skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing and to apply their French learning to a variety of contexts.
At Honeywell, the MFL curriculum allows children to develop their language skills through regularly taught lessons. We follow the Kapow Scheme of work to ensure coverage and progression across the school.
