By embedding long term knowledge within the context of each sport, reinforcing lesson plans with a full and varied fixtures calendar (in the Autumn Term alone, 117 Honeywell Teams played in 60 fixtures, with 13 parent coach volunteers each dedicating at least 1 hour, and often many more, every week to leading and developing squad training sessions).
At Honeywell, we strongly believe in the positive effects of sport and exercise on children’s physical health, growth and development and aim to instill a lifelong interest in physical activity. This has been recognized by the award of the Gold Mark for the hard work and focus within PE in the 2018/19 academic year.
You can see the Training Sessions our parent coaches deliver each week on the attached document, and the termly fixtures are also available to view here.

Honeywell is proud of the fact that over 57% of our pupils represented Honeywell in sporting fixtures in the 2018-19 academic year. We encourage all of our pupils to play sport in PE, and as well as our teachers, have enlisted specialist coaches from local sports clubs (hockey, cricket, football, netball and lacrosse) to further improve individual skill and knowledge.
